Ernst Fischer Ernst Fischer
Ernst Fischer (10 April 1900 – 10 July 1975) was a German keyboardist and composer of light music both for piano and for orchestra. He became well-known to radio listeners all over the world from the 1930s to 1960s. Although he wrote numerous piano pieces, "Sparkling Champagne" by Claudio Abbado & Berlin Philharmonic in Classic Arts Showcase. perhaps his most famous work is the orchestral suite, Südlich der Alpen (South of the Alps). He is also well known as the performer on "der grosse Odeon-orgel"; he performed under the name of Marcel Palotti, somewhere between 1930 and 1937.
